I never smited you 85.... I want to bring peace to the board. Hatchets are buried... besides I always kinda liked you (not too much but a little ;D)
In fact I'm going to give you Karma right now....
Merry Christmas.
You are now the Karma Karma Karma Karma Chameleon

I'm sorry 85. It was I that smited you.
I looked at the "exhalt" and "smite" links and thought I'd click on one to see what would happen! Now, I suppose I could have exhaulted you but as much as I may consider you a friend, I figured that would be crossing a line I was not yet prepared to cross. Better to smite now and ask forgiveness later. I feel I'll be ready to exhault you in the future, however. ;D

I smited someone, and exalted someone today as I was wondering what the heck were those buttons for. But I can't remember who though...

I enjoy swearing, I'll admit it. But a profanity filter is fine with someone (me) that sits on the other side of the fence. As long as it doesn't get ridiculous like the scout one.
I'd prefer the star idea as well (ie F***) just because I like to know what was said. On scout, sometimes the words could have been anything. As much as using my imagination is fun, I like to know what the original poster meant.

I'm really pleasantly surprised at how rapid this community has grown and how many old posters have congregated/ventured over to this forum so quickly. Most of the posters know who I am but for those who are unfamilar I will give a brief introduction. Hello, my name is Jameson! I'm almost 19 years old, so I guess I qualify as one of the younger Jays fans on here, and I have been one of the regulars at BaseballBoards.com/FanHome/Scout.com since I registered in July of 2000. It's remarkable to think that so many posters have been here for that long and even earlier (October 1999 I believe), and really it is a testament to the quality of conversation and analysis that keeps everyone coming back to continue discussing Blue Jays baseball. I've been a Jays fan since I was born in '87 (I like to think so, haha), but didn't seriously begin following the club until 1998 -- yes, I was a big Clemens and Canseco fan *insert the embarassed face here.* I hadn't been able to post as much over the past year like I had in the past due to being a first-year student at Queen's University in Kingston, but I always read and stayed up to date on the discussion topics. I'm pretty approachable and laid back, and look forward to discussing the Jays with all of you. I'm glad you decided to make the switch, Jeremy (or at least a partial switch). I know that, like you, I'll still continue to posting on the Leafs and other parts of the site, but having been banned from the Jays forum there is really no purpose for me in terms of the baseball side of things (other than the main MLB forum).

Thanks Jays. With all the excellent posters coming over, and the way things are being conducted over there, I don't have much of a reason to post there anymore myself. I may pop in there every now and then, but I'm thrilled we have a place like this up and running.

85, I know my side was NEVER heard at fanhome until recently, where my case was heard, and ACCEPTED. So, the truth lays obviously in the middle. As far as me, I won't call you out, if you don't call me out, lets leave the petty bickering for personal ims, you know where you can find me. These kind folks don't need to be a part of he said she said carpolla.

Well, jaysmaniac, it was heard by Fanhome because it was a CM you were communicating with just before the banning -- either MikeT1 or gerryf, as I recall. Possibly Patronus. And I had to go through those people to do anything on the board.
But I agree that there is no room for this here, and frankly it's been so long that I have no bitterness towards you for anything and have no interest in generating any bitterness between us. I'd prefer to shake hands and start fresh ... because that's what this board is about.
However, I will send you a message on this board's system just so you understand why it was felt a ban was necessary at the time. I get the sense that we have different views on why it occurred.

Ah, don't worry. jaysmaniac and I have gotten along in the past, we'll get along in the future. Some things were unresolved from my mod days, but he obviously wants it to be in the past, and so do I.
Andyman, FM ... thank you for your cruel experiments with my karma. I'll forgive you, now that my karma has been restored.

To change things a bit ... did anyone ever use an "alternate" ID (that they want to admit to, of course). I did for a while ... a few months after I left as mod, I wanted to shed the mod baggage (people were still coming to me as if I were still a mod, and were asking me to try to get posters banned or muzzled, etc. Besides, hard as it is to believe, some people didn't like me. All because I was a moderator.) So, I adopted a new name: "JollyOldSantaClaus".
I told one of the board mods (Ted) I was doing it, so it was above-board. I also mentioned it to a few regulars at the time. I ended up going back to 85Jays, though, because it just felt comfortable. "JollyOldSantaClaus" probably still exists as a name there, but I'd be hard pressed to remember the password.

Good day. I'm Martin. I've been a Blue Jay fan since 2002, but the Jays have only really been my favorite team since 2005 (though I only really started to follow them this year). I am a former Expos fan, so their move made me take a year away from baseball. I only really started following baseball in 2002 (when my transition to shy outcast to somewhat normal human being began).
I'm 19 now and am going to Ottawa University, taking Political Science. I kind of want to go into politics, but I don't know if I'm really Prime Minister material (I think I'd be good, but there's that little problem of getting elected...). Sociology, geography and philosophy also interest me, as well as gardening (I have a decent garden on my balcony, and no I'm not growing any of that) and the outdoors in general.
My favorites sports are baseball, football (no favorite team yet, just players), golf, and badminton is pretty sweet too.
That's pretty much it. I don't like JP much, but Gibbons is ok. My pet peeve is getting all pissed off about a Gibbons decision that doesn't work out when that decision cannot be definately regarded as absolutely bad (because the decision was defensible, and certainly had good reasons and merit... arg, I've said / thought this so often).

Not the first time questions were raised about whether someone named Martin was PM material.
I'll vote for you, though. No country has ever gone wrong having a leader whose last name was "The Great". I mean, if that doesn't scream "leader", what does?
