It was available on FH 1.0, and would be greatly appreciated to ignore current and future petty baiters.
Please and Thank You.

Wouldn't mind it I guess, but I don't think I was around during FH 1.0

If its in the new software, I'll try to make it possible if everyone wants it. Personally, I'd rather see the forums make it to how they once were where you don't need to ignore anyone.

Impossible without personal boycotts of certain boards.

Wouldn't mind it I guess, but I don't think I was around during FH 1.0 It was indeed around for FanHome version 1.0. Or maybe it was 1.1.2. I remember when we switched to Scout, there was no more ignore feature and there was a great, pained cry from the cheap seats.

He said he wasn't around for it. I never used the ignore feature. It was gone before I ever felt the need for it.

I swear, there was a "t" in his post somewhere. Really! "It," is what he typed.

I don't see the point of an ignore feature. It seems like that would disrupt your reading if the ignored person responded to a thread and everyone discussed their post.

Believe you me, it saves a lot of trouble when modding a board. When you get people constantly sniping at each other and causing lots of pain for the other posters, you can just ask the offenders to put each other in their ignore list. Really, it does a good job of preventing more flame wars on the board. As far as what you see when somebody on your ignore list posts in a thread, a message appears instead of their post. Everything looks normal about their post, but instead of what they typed, you get something along the lines of, "Ignored message," or something similar. It's not perfect, I realize, but it can be a useful tool. I remember when we first moved over to the Insiders/Scout/Fox/whatever it's called today, quite a few people were not happy that there was no more ignore list (sometimes you'll see it called a kill file).

It could be useful on a board like the Leafs board where you have trolls all the time. I agree with Ty about getting it so you don't need it but it might be useful for the temporary trolls until a GM/Admin can ban them.
