What if the 49ers somehow only lose one game this preseason? would that mean they will be bound to have a good season? or is the preseason just that not judgable? If Eric Johnson and Vernon Davis join up to form was awesome tandem to help out Alex Smith's passing rating and lead to more touchdowns and we win the superbowl? What If?

The pre-season is just a pre-season. Most of the time, you see guys on the third string or practice squad playing on these games. It doesn't really tell you anything until they start the "real" games. BTW, Alex Smith looked pretty good the last pre-season game they played. The niners just need to protect the kid better in the pocket.

Think with the edition of Larry Allen, with the return of Jonas Jennings and with our young guys with more experience and other season under their belts this season they will become better o-linemen and allow Alex to do more in the pocket and have a much better season?
