Can't get on the internet at home. Had a lightning strike that effeted the TV and several appliances in the house. The computer is on a surge protector.
Called the cable company. They replaced the modem and cable but said I needed to replace my NIC card, which I did.
Using Firefox (IE is corrupted), it says it can't find the site I'm asking for. Had a similar problem a while back to get the same message. Cable was loose. I've checked cables.
Any ideas?

I did. Is it possible that the strike could have done something to the electronics associated with that slot? Maybe I'll try another slot.
