Hey
System Specs: IBM T43 Laptop Radeon Mobility X300 Video Card Windows XP 1GB RAM 1.73 Ghz Pentium M
Anyways, I bought an external LCD monitor and I set it up and it seems to working, but I can only use it as the secondary monitor. When it's hooked up, I want to use the LCD as the primary monitor with my laptop serving as the secondary.
When I go into Display Properties ----> settings and click the LCD monitor (by default #2) the "set this monitor as primary is greyed out."
I tried to Download the Omega drivers (3rd party as ATI catalyst does not work on my laptop for some reason). I was able to set the LCD as the primary, but the laptop wasnt working as the secondary. Basically, the laptop screen was microsized in the center of the screen.
I'm at a loss......anyone have any ideas?

You have to click on "extend my desktop to this monitor". Then you should be able to select it as the primary.

What options do you have if you right-click on the 2nd monitor?

Ok I figured it out. It's very complicated though, and will get annoying if I have to do that everytime I plug in.
Does anyone know how to save a current configuration?

Something in the hardware profiles area of the 'properties' of 'my computer'... not sure exactly, I'd have to look it up.
