Well I asked for it and I got it. A Football (Soccer for you heathens ) board! I'm personally a big fan of the Scottish & English Premier Leagues and I also follow the Bundesliga whenever I can. I'm a huge Rangers and Bayern Munich fan.... Anyone else?

I go to a few games locally, but local for me means the high profile league know as the MLS.
I'll admit, I have five jerseys are various teams with my favorite being my Tampa Bay Mutiny Carlos Valderamma ones. Thats right, I have two of those alone. ;D

The MLS is going nowhere but up....
I don't follow it too closely (Mainly because I have trouble following the teams I support now) however I'd love to see some more European players move to the MLS.
There's a certain mystique to seeing them play.... and over time it will lend more and more credibility to the league.

I've always been a ManU fan, but lately i've been drifting from them.
With Becks and Ruud gone to Real Madrid, i've had a special place from them in my heart.
Also, 2 of my favorite players play for chelsea (Shevchenko and Ballack) so for the most part, they're No.1 with me.

Liverpool beat Chelsea today in the Community Shield and surprisingly (for me at least) they took them down 2-1.....
Even more of a surprise is that Chelsea fielded a high quality lineup and Liverpool's lineup was below strength.

The liver pool upset wasn't that surprising. It was Shevchenko and Ballack's first games with the team, so that's a bit of an ajustment period.
But i still favor Chelsea because come one, with Lampard, Shevchenko, and Ballack controling the team, and having proved they can win without them, they are a Force to be reckoned with.

My kid is an Aston Villa fan ... so he's thrilled to have Martin O'Neil as the new gaffer and Lerner as the new bankroll ... heck, ANYthing to get Deadly Doug out of the door at last. I'm more of a Celtic guy myself ... but either way it's nice to see a Football board that isn't obsessed with Peyton Manning's Fantasy Stats.

Guess who my team is... But I'm more about the national team than the Dutch League itself.

Liverpool is my team. Sucks that Cisse is leaving to Marseille permanently, he's my favourite player. In other leagues, I support; Sporting CP (Portugal) and Inter Milan (Serie A).

I follow the English Premiere League. Chelsea is loaded with superstar players from all over the world. How the heck would this team lose? It is almost comparable to the World All-Stars versus a regular team. The real question is, how would Jose Mourinho (sp?) get to play everybody. There is only one ball.

^^^Exactly
Shevchenko is one of the top scorers in the World and Lampard is a World Class player. Meanwhile Ballack is gonna demand some touchs from time to time.
For a sport with such limited shots per game, there's gonna be alot of offence from this team.

A Juve fan since I was 7, and I still ain't going anywhere. The scandal in Serie A is lame. It's got double standards written all over it, and it's getting carried out on more personal than business. None the less, Juve still deserved their titles the last two seasons, and for Inter to get it this year when they got beaten by 15 pts is stupid. Also proud Azzurri fan!

If you think winning by bribing the refs means they 'deserve it' then you're completely correct.
They should have been suspended COMPLETELY for at least a couple of years (that is if Serie A was actually serious about removing corruption)

FC Barcelona and Galaxy fan here. I also follow Celtic somewhat, although not as much ever since Larsson left them.

Larsson plays for his hometown Swedish team(I believe Helginsborgs)
anyways, i'm an Everton fan so i was pleased to AJ score on his debut and of course, happy to see the Blades draw with the RS

Mission accomplished ... the Villans looked like they'd win it, but ended up with a solid 1-1 road draw. And FWIW, Larsson spent time with Barcalona immediately after leaving Celtic, but has indeed returned to his home twon team in Sweden to round out his career. VERY reliable goal scorer that guy.

Ill take a point vs Arsenal anytime ..... hopefully they can build on that with a win tomorrow against Reading (who played a whale of game against 'Boro on Saturday). .... on an unrealted note .... Damien Duff is going to do magical things for Newcastle before the seasons over. I really believe they have all the pieces to make a serious run .... especially if they can get Owen going.
