First, thank you thank you thank you for a sports message board that enables tables in the posts. Salaries, statistics, it's all so much easier this way. Please, please keep it for the move. I do have a request if it's possible. Instead of just opening and closing tags, could we have a button that is reversed for td's? I say this 'cause if I copy/paste something from an excel file (or word or notepad) into a message box, it's much easier to click in between the words and click a button instead of highlighting the word and clicking it or copying and pasting piece by piece to fit inside the tags. Doing the work to get the table and rows going is easy, but if there was a button that produced " [/td][td]" reproducing tables would go much faster. It would be great if we could have slightly elevated functionality for tables and maybe a section in a faq for people who aren't html savvy so they could figure it out.
If this is the wrong place to post this or if it should be a pm, then go ahead and delete.

Didn't ezboard allow tables? I thought I was able to do it before.

You could do it on EZBoards manually, if you knew how to "HTML" code.
But I can see where buttons are so much easier.

I know the code, but it wasn't allowed on any of the boards I went to. didn't work and neither did [col], which is what is used mostly for bbcode message boards. Anyway, regardless I'm happy to have it now. |

I know the code, but it wasn't allowed on any of the boards I went to. That's because the default setting for posting was EZCodes, and it didn't parse table codes. But if you change that choice to HTML, it worked. 'Course... then, if you were including someone's quote in the post, the quote would be all messed up as a result... Goodbye EZBoards, and good RIDDANCE!

I thought I'd tried that and I went back and tried now and it definitely doesn't work on the Raptors or Blue Jays boards in html, ezcodes or plaintext(tried with and without [html] and [body] tags to open and all the variations I could think of). I think those boards specifically (don't know if they're the exception or the rule) don't allow html posts at all . Anyway, it's all irrelevant now. It works here and I'll assume it'll work after the move, so I'm a happy camper. The reversed tags button would be nice, but that's just a little perk and not really necessary (I'm sure there's an excel macro out there that adds the tags to speadsheets anyway).
