i am in the process of putting together the cap figures for all 30 teams.
would you guys be interested in using those numbers (instead of the nhlpa salaries)? We might. You'd have to join though. The only difference between the two is that NHLPA.com lists what they are getting this year, while the cap figures are based on average salary over the length of the contracts? The Leafs board on Scout had one like this last season. I would suggest keeping it as simple as possible. We had 12 forwards, 6 d-men and 2 goalies for a 20-man roster.
Points for skaters were simple: One point equals one fantasy point. I think goalies got 2 points for a win and an extra 3 for a shutout.
We had the option of making 3 trades during the season, but that resulted in a tremndous amount of work for teh person keeping track of the pool.
I'd suggest the simple scoring mentioned above and no trades. Live and die by injuries. emo you might have to join too. Did you guys have a draft? Or just lists, knowing that some players would overlap? I think that was a good suggestion. It would help simplify things for whoever was doing the stats. Quit looking at me! Just because you come up with an idea, doesn't mean you are in control.

They had lists. There were over 100 participants, so it would have been impossible to conduct a draft.

I liked the trade feature....and also the ability to sing up to 3 free agents.........have to have some flexibility to keep it as close to real world as a NHL GM might deal with....having no trades would suck imho!

You just want to make sure the whole Pool doesn't get overly complicated.
What happens now that we are over at The Scoreboards?
