Eklund claims that the Canucks are in talks with Dvorak (e2). So at any rate has anyone heard about this rumour anywhere else, or is this just one of those Eklund things again?

Yeah he could post like a million (e2) posts a day. He is barely ever right until it gets to a (e3) and even then a (e4) are they only way you can figure there is some truth to whats going on.

I like Dvorak. He's such a fast and skilled skater. Although he doesn't have much scoring talent, he'll probably be a good fit with the Sedins or the third line if they do bump Cooke up to a higher line. Carter's Stats pageDvorak's Stats pageTheir careers look pretty much alike. Both have been in the NHL since 1996, and both have around 400 points. People didn't really think of Carter as much as a scorer until he came to Vancouver. Then he turned into a popular guy who is known to score quite well. The same could possibly happen to Dvorak as well. I'd give it a shot.

If the price is right, it may be worth it. He's really streaky though thats the only thing that bothers me at this point. Obviously the Canucks aren't going to sign anyone worth too much so at this point Dvorak is probably their best bet if they think they need to sign someone.

As I said on the "other board", for a million or less - why not? If he's looking for $1.5 million - pass (as it'll mean we'd have to dump Cookie for draft picks/prospects - then we'd be not alot better off or likely worse off as Cookie *could* end up scoring as many goals as Dvorak and he brings more to the table than just goals).
