Since they no longer look like cocktail sausages and are about to open their eyes, I figure it's safe to christen the new board with them and start a new photo thread in the process Come on, can you really resist the pile of cuteness? The heads/tails thing here is just cool to me. This little black and white one is my favorite And to vary a bit from the ratties, here's my favorite pic of me and my bro from our houseboat trip this summer: (May as well introduce ourselves to any newbies who venture in while we're at it!)

GG they're adorable. At least their eyes look normal now. They just look like they are sleeping. Have you named them yet? Are you still going with 'work' names? Don't know if we can come up with 9 that would sound good. Since I only count about 8 or 9 in the pile can we assume that the smaller ones didn't make it? Would love to have one but my cat would think it was lunch and besides how the heck would we get it to Dallas in the first place.

Hey GG, I called them cocktail sausages in the BBQ first, send me a cheque for 28 cents for using my term! They look cute right now, probably be ugly soon.

GG they are sooooo cute! It's amazing how quickly they develop.
I think I'd name one RatNip .... just for our fellow Ratphobic members.

That's a service name? How about a combination of service and activity names? Trap, Fromagier (Magi, for short), Sleuth, Kerfuffle (Kerf), Herbie, Coach, Scout (or is that a bad word around here??? ), Mage, Ace, and Digger. Just tossin' some ideas out there...

There are 10 remaining ratlings, all healthy and cute. It was hard losing the littlest ones though; I even tried hand-feeding some of them. No luck. But they're all doing their best to be cute and wiggly to make up for it. Cheesy - can I please please keep the 28 cents to go into the rattie feeding fund? I have no idea what to name them; a lot of them will be adopted but I see no problem with tagging them first I'm open to all suggestions, so get creative! I might have to use sharpie the tails on the little white ones so I can tell them apart. If it helps, my previous rats were named Marshmallow (grey and white hooded), Smokey (grey with a white tummy) and Dos (black and white hooded, like the babies, with two black spots). Guru - "Tailor" and "Butler" are both profession-type names. A lot of people actually don't pick up on that part

I didn't pick up on that.... so that shows you how observant I am! This is turning out to be some fun kind of day. I woke up this morning, and my sweetie left his jeans on the bathroom counter. I went to pick them up, and his "Leatherman" tool (mult-tool device) slid down the pant leg and nailed my toe. It still hurts like H. E. Double Hockey Sticks! That's what I get for cleaning up after my Man... Add to that.... I get to work, and around 10:00 AM I discover that not only is my shirt on inside out... (not obvious), but it is also backwards with the tag at my throat!! (very obvious). Do you think anyone would tell me? Nope.... I couldn't stop laughing over how oblivious I was. Goodness... folks, if you see someone wearing their shirt backwards/inside out... for the love of God, find a discreet way to tell them! Ahhhh!!!

Name the sexiest one Cheesy and I you can keep your cheque. ?? I may have missed the memo on how to determine a rat's "sexiness"...especially at a baby stage. Guru - hope your foot is doing better and that the general day has improved!

The day has improved, and I still have a lump and bruise on the toe knuckle that was hit. Handsome shot out a "Are you okay..." right after the bang, gasp and muttering began. It was all I could do not to barrade him for setting that boobie trap for me. Fortunately, I was of mind to keep my mouth closed, as I tried to say I'm okay. ... and did I mention that he was going into work late, so I didn't turn on the bedroom light as not to wake him. Also that he was the one that folded my shirt, inside out and put it in my drawer??? Man.... it's a good thing my work day is 11 hours long (including driving time). I should be over this by the end of the day, other wise... Here's your dinner Handsome....
