I'm interested to know what Shark fans have to say on this topic. Will they be another big scoring hit like last season, or will they slow down and not pot as many goals (like a few other duos after their big seasons). One time wonder?

I think they will do just as well as last season. The key will be the 2nd line of Michalek-Marleau-Bernier. It's a physically strong line full of speed, strength and skill. If they do well, which they should, then opposing teams cannot simply key on the top line to stop the Sharks.
Also, Thornton and Cheechoo will have a regular linemate of Mark Bell who is a significant upgrade over Nils Ekman/Scott Thornton. Bell will do a lot of the dirty work in the corners and in front of the goal to free up the other two.
Joe Thornton is such a gifted passer and puck handler that he will make everyone around him better. That's what makes him special. Boston tried to make him something he wasn't: a goal scorer and power forward. The Sharks are totally satisfied with him being a setup man getting the rest of the team involved and elevating their play. He is also the point man on the power play, so with him, Marleau and Cheechoo as the PP forwards, that should continue to be an effective combination.
I'd be very surprised if Thornton and Cheehoo drop off statistically from last season. Maybe Cheechoo will not get 50 goals, but he's a lock for at least 40.

WHOOOP WHOOOOP In Cheechoo I Trust Cheesy, are you sure you're not sleeping cuz you ate something before bed? Or the Boogeyman is gonna get you? No wait, Boogey is in Minnesota..can't use him....and Otter isn't ferocious enough....hmmm.....darn, can't think of anything else....oh I know, you have nightmares of being the Dog in DUCK HUNT...that's it!

Personally, I expect even bigger things from them this year. With Bell, as JtF already pointed out, coming to that line to add balance and consistancy, it should become even more dominant. But it defintely does depend on the other lines as well...and with the upgraders we made there, that should be ok!!
And Cheechoo definitely needs to hit 50 again....I got a pretty good amount fo money riding on it with a friend!!!!!
