CLEVELAND (AP) -- The Cleveland Indians traded catcher Einar Diaz to the Los Angeles Dodgers for cash.
Diaz spent the entire season at Buffalo, batting .218 with three homers and 29 RBIs in 64 games. In 670 games with the Indians, Rangers, Expos and Cardinals, he hit a combined .253 with 21 homers and 202 RBIs.
Diaz will report to Triple-A Las Vegas.
Pretty good defensive catcher if I remember him correctly. I'm surprised he's not up in the big leages as a backup somewhere.
