especially against the Cubs OF for now should be Dunc, Juan, and Preston when Edmonds get back: Dunc against righties/Preston against lefties, Edmonds, Juan

I pretty much agree with you ssf, except nowadays, I'd almost rather see Duncan get at-bats against lefties than Edmonds.

You know, the season is more then half way over and I still haven't gotten into this MLB season. Not for the Cards or my other team, the Yankees. I feel like I'm a terrible St. Louis citizen for not knowing more about this year's team.
So I have no idea why Duncan would be getting consideration for starts over So or J-Rod.

Just look at Duncans stat sheet, then compare it to So and J-Rod's. ;D
Plus, So's defensive game's gone to hell.
