Between the main 3 of Leinart, Young and Bush, as well as all the other top players from the past draft, who will get ROY honors?

well considering Leinart won't be starting...I'd cross him off the list. I'd put my money on Bush

I think a defender will win the award this year. Especially with guys like Williams, Hawk, Huff, Whitner getting to start for their teams. My sleeper fow the ROY is Davis in San Fran. He'll be a fav target of Smith in the middle when he's under pressure (which will happen a lot).

I like Vernon Davis for Rookie of the Year. The kid should do well in San Francisco and I think Alex Smith will be looking for him, and often. I think Reggie Bush has to be in the mix for the ROY, and I do think players such as Mario Williams and A.J. Hawk will be in the running as well.

They do both an offensive and defensive rookie of the year. Leinart and Young most likely won't see a lot of playing time, plus rookie QBs almost always strugle (Roethlisberger was by far the exception and not the rule). The offensive award usually goes to a running back as it's the easiest skill position to jump into the nfl at. Since 1986 the only non RBs to win the award were Carl Pickens in 92 (WR), Randy Moss in 98 (WR), Anquan Boldin in 03 (WR) and Ben Roethlisberger in 04 (QB). I'm going to say DeAngelo Williams for OROY and Ernie Simms for DROY.
