Jim Thome's about to rip one out and make this a 7-4 ballgame in the bottom of the 8th.
Crap... he struck out before I could hit "post message".

I'm not updating this again until somebody answers me, because I'm start to feel like an even bigger geek than I actually am.

Johnson had a bad 7th inning.
Now we're in the top of the 9th, 2 outs... 7-6 Yanks.

With all this great news, I feel like you should be on suicide watch as you hide in this room alone. ;D

Whatever happened to Vazquez? It wasn't but a few years ago people thought he would be winning Cy Youngs by now. Now he is struggling to be a middle of the rotation guy.
He didn't do bad tonight, but 111 pitches through only five innings? Not to mention 12 baserunners? He didn't do good with. He is lucky he didn't give up five or six tonight.

I hear ya about Vazquez. He has his REALLY good days, and his horrible days. He should've been special... not sure what happened. About the suicide watch... If I report it, they will come.

Yankee Stadium...where great players become mediocre.
Let's see how clutch Arod is tonight with a chance to drive in a run or two.

Well Arod pops out to short, and Giambi follows with a strikeout. For two guys who have won MVPs in recent years, you think they could have at least managed a productive out there. Granted its only one time, and I don't have the stats in front of me.

As I posted that, a two out rally with a double by Brian Anderson, and RBI single by Podsednik gives the Sox a three run lead.

ick... 5-4.
Who the heck is Melky Cabrera?
edited because I meant to say 5-4 the first time.

I go away for two seconds, and you broke it! A Craig Wilson double and Melky Cabrera homerun brings the score to 5-4 White Sox. Am I the only one throughly unimpressed by Brandon McCarthy?
I'll admit I'm more of a stats guy as I simply can't get around to watching all these games, but everytime I look it feels like he isn't exactly doing great.
Recently acquired Matt Thorton gets out of the inning with just a single to Johnny Damon.
I have to admit to you, I'm watching this game on the MLB.com Gameday. Despite living in Jersey, my apartment at school doesn't get the Yankees or Mets networks, so I see nothing of them. Even though its on ESPN, its blacked out tonight, great eh?

espn blacked it out? that's weak...
I have Comcast MLB extra innings, so I can watch pretty much any game.
I like McCarthy as a long reliever, not as a starter. When they bring him in as a reliever, he does very well. As a starter, he consistently allows 4+.

Thats what it seems like with McCarthy.
Where I am, the only Mets games I see are the weekends on WB and the Yankees on CBS. Of course I'm lucky to get one of them a week, and its on the weekend when I'm at a place where I have the networks, ironic right? Otherwise, unless they are the Fox game of the week, or ESPN Sunday Night Baseball, I get nothing.
