Where should I go on vacation this year and who should I take with me? Parts Unknown and bring everyone you know who has money.

I think I took a wrong turn someplace around parts unknown, what is this strange mirror universe? It's a strange mirror universe, meeting the need many here at FanHome felt for a seemingly pointless duplication of what we all already had.

So, is this version of FanHome going to rebuild its legendary Sabremetrics board?

So, is this version of FanHome going to rebuild its legendary Sabremetrics board? As closely as I can tell, this board is reactionary in character, more counter revolutionary than revolutionary. All of this has to do with power struggles of which I happly have been, and hope to remain, ignorant. In keeping with the monarchy bounces back theme, I would then expect that rather than a Sabermetrics board, one will arise devoted to conventional wisdom. They will promote the critical importance of speed in the lead off spot and of bat control in the second slot. They will speak of shortstops who save their teams hundreds of runs every year, advance numerous theories of momentum and clutch intangibles, chastise patient hitters for lack of aggression, decide gold gloves on the basis a few acrobatic highlights on ESPN, sing the praises of the fellow who still knows how to bunt and hit that all important groundball to the right side of the infield with a runner on second and less than two outs....etc.

Now that you have a branch office, will you be hiring additional help to maintain both locations?

are my AskGS Inc Premium Membership Awards Points (AGSIPMAP) transferrable to this site?? Yes, of course. There is a small 25 % points deduction made to offset the cost of the paperwork involved, but other than that, no problem.

Do you feel safe at home during the winter? I used to, but last winter was horrible, weather wise. We had record rainfall and serial windstorms which led to four lengthy electrical blackouts, the longest of which lasted three days. My neighbors assure me that was all quite rare and that blackouts have never been common in the past. Despite their assurances, I'm looking into buying a generator for this coming winter.

Which captian was better: James T. Kirk or Jean-Luc Picard? In terms of audience chronology, both were appropriate. Shatner starred during an era where an action hero captain was required, Stewart's era was one where a more thoughtful, less impulsive techno sort made sense. Of the two, I would think that any number of actors could have essayed the Picard character without any loss to the show's quality. While it was fine, there was never anything special or outstanding about Stewart's work. On the other hand, Shatner was Kirk...I can't picture anyone else playing that role and bringing as much to it as he did.

While watching World Cup Qualifiers in Kuwait I noticed that Coca-Cola was all over the place. Placards lining the edge of the field, sandwhich boards on the vendors walking the aisles, it would seem that Coke had spent money to become the Kuwaiti National Soccer team's official beverage sponsor.
What word echoed throughout the stadium though as the vendors barked out for sales? "Pepsiiiiiiiiii. Get your Peppsssiiiiiiii"
Did Coke waste a gob of money on that sponsor ship?
