Welcome to the new boards.
For now, shimmer and I will be your hosts in the BBQ, so be nice to us.
Any comments/suggestions for the bbq can be made here, or if you just want to tell shimmer and I how awesome we are, feel free.

Wolfy....if you poke your way around you might notice that 'znutt is already modding the Ducks board.
And I'm not sure about Rumours boards for any of the sports. The two sports I follow closely (baseball and hockey) had rumours boards that didn't seem to run very efficiently. Not because of the mods, just because of posters preferring to talk about trades elsewhere....usually the Leafs board. I'd like to figure out a new plan for those.
BBQ mod...? I can do that!

Np, I asked sportznutt about the ducks board and hes cool with me coming in too. I just figured to bring over the current mods and then bring in the posters. Its especially important there as we have a major competing board for ducks fans.

...He wants to know why we moved...Since it was my idea to start something as an alternative...I guess I'll explain it. For me the other site no longer has that feeling that got us all to join in the first place. Long time posters and long time moderators that helped build that great community have stopped posting as much and altogether. Some of them were turned off by the ezboards software. Others by the publishers. Because Scout is based on a business model of publishers trying to hook posters to purchasing premium subscriptions. We just want to talk sports. The publishers have been made admins for their individual boards. It is their board, they can run it the way they like...but boards like the Jays board no longer are run like we're used to. For one thing, they have the MBA process enabled on a few team boards...that's where you have to apply for membership before posting or even viewing sometimes. The Jays publisher banned long time members for starting an off topic thread about Snakes on a Plane, saying JP sucks, and creating duplicate threads. Not all publishers run their board like that, but I've heard there are others that do. So before that site completely lost the feeling that made it special enough to make Scout want to buy it, I decided to start toying around with this board a couple months ago. Hope that answers your question somewhat...
