Welcome to the new and slightly improved CEP! Use this thread for chatting about the site and asking questions, but I encourage you to look around the other boards and see how things are developing. A helpful hint for everyone....unlike Scout, you can edit your screenname at any time here, so feel free to go back to your 'original' name for old times sake if you'd like. That means I expect to see a lot of 'TheSpanishInquisition' and 'EddieVanHalen', and no more of these II or III's.  |

Hey people. Some of you might recognize me as the 'computer geek' on Scout. I didn't post much in CEP, but I will be making an effort to better my political knowledge and know a bit more of what's going on outside the life of NE.

lol I pay lots of taxes. Comes with earning lots of money (well by my standards frenchman would probably still find them amusing) Still a commie lefty as I likely will be when (as suggested) I start earning hundreds of thousands in a few years when the VP I work for now leaves to create a new start up. |

I am commited to not being involved in unhappy exchanges so I will simply pass on them in this new board. Voluntary assistance is a great idea, it can not possibly replace the funding government provides - a point stressed by those in voluntary organizations.

Actually shimmer having listened to voluntary organization members I respectfully disagree. They try to get every dime of public money they can and push for more spending:)
Although I am sure there are indivdual exceptions to that.

To much spelling. I must have five names at least. TSI, TheSpanishInquisition, Noetsi, Rhellein, TheConservativeMovement.....
Out of curiosity, some of you or maybe all of you still post on the CE forums (for example). Is this an additional forum to express views, a place to replace the other forums eventually ..... (just kidding but I am curious about the set up of this board). I came largely to see old faces and partially to make up for past blunders and repay an old debt (meaning that positively)....

Currently this is an 'alternative' forum primarily built to replicate the old community we had before the Scout merger. Ideally we'd like to have as much of the old crowd as possible. We are discouraging discussion as to what people should do as far as whether to post there, here, or both....I'll leave that up to each individual.
