Photobucket.com Can be used for banners, additional avatars and any other images we might use as well. Would the bandwith be an issue?

OK - Maybe It's just me and everyone else realizes this already...
When you click the word "new" on a thread title, it takes you to exactly where you left last time your were in the thread. That's an awesome option!!!!

I guess I'm just a big dummy. How do I post pictures? I tried the procedure in GLG's long post but can't make it work. I'm just a simple one-time English major and have problems with this newfangled technology.

I'm just a simple one-time English major and have problems with this newfangled technology. Well, you have to make sure the internet address to the picture is within the codes that the puts in your post. So, for example, if the address to the picture you want is: http://www.myserver.com/pictures/somepicture.jpg then you would first click the button. That puts only the [img][/img] tags in the post. Move your cursor until it's in between the [img] and the [/img] code. That's where you start pasting your address. Another way is to just past the address into your post. Then hilight it all, and hit the button. It will automatically "envelope" the address between it's codes. You just have to have the address inbetween the two codes. No matter how it gets there. [img]http://www.myserver.com/pictures/somepicture.jpg[/img] would work. [img][/img]http://www.myserver.com/pictures/somepicture.jpg would not.

As mentioned in another thread, if you're looking at a list of threads in a particular forum, and you see this: next to a thread that you've posted in, simply click that button and you'll be taken to the first post made since your last visit to that thread.

How do you quote from an article?

How do you quote from an article? The same way you do in the "old" home: copy and paste. You can use the button for a Blockquote: This is what blockquote looks like. Even if I start a new line Everything appears with the same margins. Or... you can use the Quote button: Either way, please make sure you include a link to the article, for copywright reasons, and only post two or three paragraphs, not the entire article. That is important. Posting the entire article is copywright infringement, and unneccessary, since we can all just click the link and read the rest if we like. It also clutters up this forum unneccessarily.

I like heyterry, but that yoterry fella is just a troublemaker. Glad he's not here. Agreed! Two questions: 1. Is No.Mich's question on the last page being ignored? 2. When you finish reading a thread, is there a "next thread" button or do you have to use the "back" button?

Thanks, terry. Missed that one. I prolly missed it somewhere, but is there an ignore feature on this here board? No, not for threads, anyways. You can, however, add usernames to your ignore list for PMs. (With the exception of staff, of course. We will not be ignored! )

As best I can tell, there is only the Forum Jump bar on the bottom right. You may navigate to any forum through that drop menu. Or you can scroll back to the top and click the link on the forum (which I find easiest after replying since I don't want to go back through the reply page and the thread again before getting back to the forum).
Those are the only options of which I am aware.

2. When you finish reading a thread, is there a "next thread" button or do you have to use the "back" button? Back button. Also, look to the top left of any forum. In the case of this one here: HomeFan :: Help and Support :: Help & Customer Service :: Tips, Tricks and Hints They're all links, except for the last entry, which is the current thread we're in.
