I can't decide. I like TheScoreboards.com... but I also like what Patronus put also.

Something like homefanboards.com, homefanonline, homefans.com etc...might we worth going with the extra words in order to capitalize on the FanHome roots.
ETA: homefan.net and homefan.org are both available. another thing we could do is add an E at the beginning, to make it EHomeFan. The home of the electronic fan or something....? No...not electric fan. Just throwing out random ideas

How about pluralizing fan?
The only problem with homefans is that awayfans might feel discriminated against.

How about pluralizing fan? HomeFans.com is also gone. We'd need to add something at the end...Plus, Extra, Online, Talk, Boards, Forums....or we can add E to HomeFan. email, ecommerce and now ehomefans? Once again I'll drop this link so everyone knows which URL's with .com are not available. domain-suggestions.domaintools.com/?q=homefansAnd I found this cool sign generator and came up with this...

"thescoreboards.com" is the best of the "dot coms" options I've heard, however, I do still find it wordy and long. I'm also not sold on it having to be a "dot com."
"dot com" was originally meant to denote a commercial entity, and that, to me, reminds me of how Scout pushed for subscriptions and ruled the boards with $$$ in their heads. We all want to get away from the way they did things.
I think "dot net" is more suitable for us, as we are a network of sports fans, and friends.
So, for those reasons, I pick "intrasports.net."

If "www.thescoreboards.com" is chosen, do I get anything special? Like money, chocolate or a new title under my name?

Yup. It is. That's probably why someone else already has it. It shouldn't be on the list of choices and the list can't be edited.

I guess I'm also so used to seeing the name "The Score" associated with the Canadian TV station here, I'm having trouble getting used to our board being named so similarly. But I can see the sense in it. that is the first thing i thought when i saw the name as well. after i thought about it and disassociated it for the score television station i thought it was kind of clever.

I don't remember what I voted for. I voted yesterday and can't remember 10 minutes ago much less 12+ hours ago.
I don't like thescoreboards, though. It reminds me of a doo-wop group. "And now, a special treat to the Podunk County Fair. All the way from Decatur, The Scoreboards!" *wild applause* But, I'm different.
