Hey guys this is George Pear from fanhome. I changed my name as I have been using this one at another forum and kind of like it - plus there's a nice Sundin reference. Anyway I live in Vancouver and am now 32 years of age, making me old and decrepit. I'm a lawyer so watch out how you phrase things OR ELSE.

Hi all ... I've been called too many names, and I don't know which one to go with so I decided to stick with the same name ...

The one, the only, the original BeLeafer here.
It's good to see more of the choice posters arrive. Dunno if they'll be posting regular, but I'm strongly inclined to just reserve my posting about the Leafs for here henceforth. Well, not exactly ... when I return from vacation. Good grief do I need one of those -- haven't taken a day off since some time in the middle of July.

I still have the same name as scout but Im not sure that youll remember it, if you were part of the original FanHome you are more likely to remember who I am.

I remember you snowwy. Anyone with a similar name to Tintin's dog sticks in my head like molasses.
Welcome everyone! Including, uh me, who has now posted a grand total of twice. I'm pretty curious as to how this place will turn out and can't wait to see!

I'm meshie. Turned 22 in June, while in Florence. I've been out of the country for four straight years for my birthday. I want to be everywhere but here (Toronto), but in particular, I'm probably moving permanently to Rome next summer, depending on how things work out. I'm not sure how allied to the Leafs I am anymore... last season, I barely watched 'cos I seemed to be working every night they played, and on the nights I didn't work, the games were broadcast on ThiefTV. So I've been out of the loop for awhile. But the Leafs are like a remissive disease, and I'm sure the Leaf-fever will attack just when school starts to provide me with a reason to tolerate this city. I was in Italy most of the summer for the last two courses to finish up my BA; I have two semesters left for my diploma in public relations. I don't really care about school the way most people do. If you asked me what I've learned for the past $20,000 - err three years in University, all my relevant knowledge would likely be anything but what I gained from the curriculum. But that does not apply to my first course in Rome this summer, which both blew my mind, and gave me hope that perhaps not all of university experience is insipid and irrelevant. (Can definitely not say the same for Florence, but that's another story.) The last book I read was Ender's Shadow by Orson Scott Card (which got me into reading about string theory and the ten dimensions); the book currently sitting on my nightstand is Shadow of the Hegemon, also by Card, and The Alchemist by Paulo Coehlo (since I've been way too cynical for my own good lately and need the pick-me-up.) My playlist is currently Jimi Hendrix's "Are you experienced?" The last concert I attended was Tiƫsto in Chicago, a roadtrip I took my little Tahitian green Honda Civic to in May. Also went to Florida before going to Italy, Tampa to be exact... cute city, but everything outside of downtown is a little creepy - Detroit-like. The beaches are beautiful, though, and I did get to Orlando for a day - first time at Disneyworld. Let me tell you, Italians and Americans have two completely different ideas of living life... both have a mutual understanding when it comes to good quality food, but the Italian way is a helluva lot cheaper to enjoy than the American way. And somehow, to me, we know better what it means to live. But that's just my biased opinion. Anyway, that's it for now. Gotta go help my dad dig a hole in the back yard (we're building a deck.) I'm sure that was all more than you really wanted to know. BTW, I urge everyone to visit this website: www.tenthdimension.com/flash2.php. Really intriguing stuff. See you a lot more frequently when the season starts.

Hi everybody (hi Dr. Nick) I'm mapleleafbluejayboy from Fanhome, though I'm minus the y here due to my name being to long. I'm 25 as of this coming Sunday and have been married for 16 months to my high school sweetheart named Carmen (she is an American and we are currently going through immigration to get her over to Canada). I am currently attending Ontario Truck Driving School to become a Truck driver (I have a two year College degree from Delta College in Saginaw, Michigan and a 4 year Honors BA from York University in Toronto). It is expensive but when I graduate in less than 6 weeks I'll have a job waiting, also, I'll have certified for 10 different licences and have certification in Air Breaks, Skid training, i'll have my fast card to cross the board and certificate to handle dangerous materials. Also, I got certified on forklifts to boot. Not a bad school this is.
This open up a lot of different jobs for me, one's that will allow me to start earning some real money to support my wife and I. I've been stuck in 8-9 dollar jobs even though I have a University degree. So, needless to say I'm excited about this change in career.
I am so pumped up about this new Leafs board and can hardly wait to see it running full throttle. It is going to be a blast.

dude! first of all, ignore my current screen name second of all, I would have totally got you into where I'm working at York U man. It's more than that pay at least and certainly less work (as you can tell by my frequent daytime posting)

Hey guys and girls, it's corksens, you're resident voice of reason.
I finally succumbed to the pressure and signed up for an account here. I take it by the 3 invites that I am welcome to continue my consitent Raycroft doubting/Senator loving tone...
Truly though, I joined this thread because it seemed to have most of the posters that I respect the most, Beleafer/number17/BillHicks to name a few.
Here's to a new season.

Meshie, Albi from the Kings' board keeps track of the Kings while from Italy. He stays up 'til the wee hours of the morning, but he's such a dedicated fan. So if you're gonna be in Rome and want to follow the Leafs, good luck.

Deck? Pfft, just tell the truth! Mama was holding the flashlight while you and him were zappanoing sta backayarda. ;D BH, I deeply regret you live in Wopbridge. That's just sad. Good for you... and congrats on the high school sweetheart! LTR, lousy Cam is at work, messaging me incessantly. He bought a Ninja 636, and was doing 170 on the onramp going to work today. He sends me messages to inform me of his biking prowess. And always odd things, such as the following: cam i was talking to my friend who has the same name as you cam and she's like, i took my laptop home to do some work cam on the weekend cam but instead i ended up building a fort And now I feel like building a fort. lousy cam... grr...
