Since no one has mentioned it, I guess no one heard Keith Law being interviewed by Mike Wilner on the Fan this morning?
He implied that both he and JP could be right, if Vernon's reps went to Jays management, as opposed to Vernon himself.
He also implied that Richard Griffen's Black Jays theory may have a role in him wanting out, as well as being called out by JP earlier in the year. FWIW...Wilner said the Black Jays article was written by Dave Perkins (at least that's who I think he gave credit to).

No one has replied to this? Strange. I must make a proclamation...
Really! I'm not lying about him saying the Griffen article could have also played a role, as out there as it seems. Or does no one even want to touch that subject anymore?

All I can say, is just talking to a fellow Jays fan, and realized...we gave up John Olerud, Carlos Delgado and 5 million to get Robert Person. All we got for possibly two of the best hitters was Robert Person.

Technically the trade didn't end there.
We turned around and traded him for Paul Spoljaric.
He was traded with Pat Hentgen to the St. Louis Cardinals for Alberto Castillo, Matt DeWitt, and Lance Painter.
While Castillo and Painter were released, DeWitt was traded with David Wells to the Chicago White Sox for Kevin Beirne, Brian Simmons, Mike Sirotka, and Mike Williams.
ahhh...the neverending trade

Probably the latter.
I haven't read the blog posting by Law ... I'm assuming it's ESPN Insider-access material. But presumably it said something about the Jays' lack of diversity being an issue, because in the same interview in which Vernon blasted Law and called his report a "fabrication", Vernon also distanced himself from any suggestion that the Jays' ethnic makeup was an issue. The impression I got was that that was another of Law's claims in the report.
